Sample Essay For AP English LiteratureIf you're writing a sample essay for AP English Literature, you will want to follow the guidelines that AP uses. AP writers use a specific writing format and style in order to produce high quality writing. Many people choose to ignore these guidelines and put a lot of extra stress on writing. This may lead to your paper not being accepted, so it's important to be aware of what to expect from each part of the curriculum.One of the first parts of AP English Literature is Writing a Test. In this part, students will use writing samples and talk about the components of good writing. The assignment and the sample essay will be discussed in depth. Students will be asked to write a short description of what they learned from the sample essay. They will also read up on and practice a few key ideas throughout the curriculum.Part Two of the curriculum, Introduction to Writing a Test, will outline general topics that students should know about in order to su cceed in the class. These topics include essay types and styles, word count limits, length limitations, character descriptions, arguments, and opening sentences. Students will learn how to structure an essay and how to incorporate all of the components of good writing into a well-written essay.In Part Three, Grammar is Mandatory, students will begin learning about the language and grammar in addition to reading up on the topic of writing a test. Finally, the last section of Part Four, Finding a Topic, will explain how to find and select a topic and begin the research process. Students will learn how to research the topic and how to construct a compelling argument.Each component of the AP Lang writing curriculum must be completed before moving on to the next portion of the curriculum. Students will have to write the outline for the essay, compose the sentence, use clear language, and use evidence to support their argument. In Part Five, Students Will Read and Analyze Examples, students will read and analyze several samples from the AP English Literature curriculum.Students will write a thesis statement and compare and contrast the samples with one another before moving on to Part Six, Format, Usage, and Relevance. These four parts of the AP English Literature curriculum are needed to produce a quality essay that will be accepted by AP. These sections also give students a chance to apply the different t ools and concepts that they learned throughout the curriculum. Part Seven, The Final Exam will be used to measure the student's comprehension of the lesson learned.AP English Literature requires students to work hard in order to succeed. Since this is such a large and comprehensive curriculum, it's important to spend as much time as possible practicing and preparing for your exams.
